Mariamelia Suarez

Mariamelia Suarez has been working in the field of Early Childhood Education since 2009. She joined KSS in 2017 and has grown both personally and professionally through her experiences in the field. She earned her Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from Chabot College.

Outside of work, Mariamelia enjoys spending time outdoors with her partner and their three children. Family is very important to her, and she cherishes the time spent together exploring and creating memories.

Finding a preschool where she could speak her native language and share her culture was a priority for Mariamelia. Upon discovering KSS, she immediately felt connected to its mission and values. After spending three wonderful years at the Albany site, she was given the opportunity in 2020 to help open a new KSS location, where she helped build a new school community from the ground up.

One of the most rewarding aspects of Mariamelia's work is witnessing children learn, grow, and develop self-confidence. She is grateful to work alongside such dedicated families, children, and colleagues. As KSS Montclair’s Center Director, she is eager to continue growing as an educator and leader, committed to fostering a positive, caring, and enriching environment where everyone feels valued, supported, and inspired.
